Asters has advised Agroton Public Limited, a Warsaw Stock Exchange‑listed company, on Ukrainian merger control aspects of its acquisition of Mriia, a national agricultural producer and silo operator, from Kernel, Ukraine’s largest producer and exporter of grains.
Agroton is a diversified, vertically integrated agricultural producer operating in Eastern Ukraine. The transaction involved the combination of agricultural land bank, grain and oilseed crop production and silo storage facilities. The acquisition represents a strategic milestone in Agroton’s recovery and development following significant losses of agricultural land and assets in Eastern Ukraine caused by the Russian invasion.
Asters advised on all Ukrainian merger control matters in connection with the transaction, including the preparation and filing of the merger notification and interaction with the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
Asters team advising on the matter included Olha Bobrovska, Serhii Glushchenko and Igor Svechkar.
