Asters expands its leading position in key practice areas according to the recently published Chambers Europe 2012 Guide. This year the firm has once again secured high rankings for all practice areas researched and six partners received individual rankings in various practices.
2012 Guide confirms the preeminence of Asters' Banking & Finance practice ranking the firm and its practice head senior partner Armen Khachaturyan in Band 1. The publication describes Asters as a "local powerhouse" and "a consistently strong performer" in banking and finance. Partner Iryna Pokanay is also recognized for her role in the practice.
This year Chambers Europe has expanded it research into new segments of Ukrainian legal market and for the first time reviewed law firms and practitioners in Competition/Antitrust, Capital Markets, Energy & Natural Resources, and Tax As a result, Chambers Europe placed the firm's "market-leading" Competition/Antitrust practice and practice head Igor Svechkar in Band 1 of the rating. The firm has also been recognized in all practices newly investigated by Chambers Europe, including Tax, with Armen Khachaturyan and Roman Kostenko also receiving individual recognitions for their Capital Markets and Energy & Natural Resources work respectively.
Chambers Europe rates Asters' Corporate and M&A practice in Band 2 also recognizing Oleksiy Didkovskiy, Armen Khachaturyan and Oleksandr Padalka individually in this practice. Real Estate practice of the firm and its head Roman Kostenko also appear in Band 2 of the rating. This year, in addition to ranking the Restructuring and Insolvency practice in Band 2, the Guide also acknowledges Armen Khachaturyan individually for his contribution to this practice. Finally, the Guide praises the firm's Dispute Resolution practice where it notes the practice leader Oleksiy Didkovskiy and his "dynamic team of professionals" and the firm's versatile Intellectual Property practice and its head Oleksandr Padalka.
