Asters initiates a series of training seminars with the American Chamber of Commerce

Seminar entitled "Ensuring Efficiency of Contractual Work in Transactions," which was chaired by Gabriel Aslanian, senior associate at Asters law firm, took place on 20 November 2013. This event is a part of a series of training seminars – a joint initiative of Asters and the American Chamber of Commerce, established to raise legal awareness of its members. The event was attended by over 30 participants including lawyers and managers of the leading Ukrainian and international companies.

During the training, Gabriel Aslanian highlighted key issues standing in the way of the transaction process and the consensus of the parties, and explained the ways to handle them. Mr. Aslanian answered questions related to currency control, assets that may be used to secure contractual obligations, and distinguishing the security instruments as more or less reliable. The seminar participants learned what problems may be faced when executing a security agreement and foreclosing thereunder and what are the options for satisfying creditors' claims on a contractual basis.

The series of training seminars for AmCham members is one of Asters' educational initiatives designed for providing legal practitioners a possibility to share fundamentally new practical legal knowledge with the Ukrainian corporate lawyers and managers working in the area of law. Next seminar will be held in January 2014.
