  • Ministry of Finance of Ukraine in connection with the court proceedings commenced by the Trustee, The Law Debenture Trust Corporation, against Ukraine regarding its alleged debt under 3 billion USD bonds purportedly issued by Ukraine in 2013 and 100% taken up by the Russian Federation. Asters is acting as the local Ukrainian counsel in this matter.
  • Ministry of Justice of Ukraine in the inter-state proceedings worth over USD 80 bln being brought by Ukraine against the Russian Federation before the European Court of Human Rights to address the damages caused by the violations committed by the Russian Federation over full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
  • JSC CB "PrivatBank" at a quantum stage of a bilateral investment treaty arbitration claim against the Russian Federation with respect to the bank's investments in Crimea. Asters is acting as the local Ukrainian counsel in this matter.

  • ED & F Man Holdings, a major global supplier of food, feeds, and biofuels, on operations of sugar production facilities in Ukraine, including associated M&A, corporate, regulatory, and customs law issues, including legal support regarding its tolling transaction (processing of foreign goods on Ukrainian facilities) covering all aspects of the deal, as well as advising regarding export of agricultural goods from Ukraine and its import to the European Union with use of all available tariff rate quotas under the DCFTA between Ukraine and the EU.
  • C. Johnson, a global manufacturer of household cleaning supplies and other consumer chemicals, on various issues of corporate, commercial, customs, and labour law, including regulatory issues relating to imports of various goods to Ukraine, as well as in various disputes with governmental agencies, including disputes initiated by the governmental authorities seeking complete shut-down of the client's operation and the product ban in respect of certain products.
