Asters got the Law Firm of the Year award at the annual Legal Awards ceremony held by Legal Practice weekly in the InterContinental Kyiv Hotel on 17 May 2018. Viewed by legal community as Ukraine's Legal Oscar, the Legal Awards distinguishes each year the best performing Ukrainian lawyers and law firms.
Asters Senior Partner Armen Khachaturyan was also awarded at this year ceremony as the Best Lawyer in Banking and Finance.
Asters as the firm and its partners individually were shortlisted in 17 nominations. In particular, Asters was nominated as the Law Firm of the Year in Corporate, M&A, IP, Banking & Finance, Debt Restructuring, Litigation, Arbitration, Family Law, International Trade, and Energy Law. Managing Partner Oleksiy Didkovskiy was shortlisted as the Best Partner of the Law Firm, Partner Igor Svechkar – as the Best Lawyer in Competition/Antitrust, Partner Julia Semeniy - as the Best Lawyer in IP, Partner Iryna Pokanay – as the Best Lawyer in Debt Restructuring, and Partner Alexey Khomyakov – as the Best Lawyer in Tax Consulting.
