Asters' International Trade team secures second in a row victory in trade investigations targeting imports of syringes

Asters' International Trade team successfully defended imports of syringes into Ukraine regardless of the country of origin and export. The investigation has been closed without any trade remedy measures.

Asters represented Association of Market Operators of Medical Devices (AMOMD), one of the largest foreign exporters and producers, as well as several Ukrainian importers. The team working on the project comprised associates Tetiana Bebik and Yelyzaveta Herasymchuk led by partner Alexey Pustovit.

This is the second Asters' win in the defence of syringes imports. Back in April 2019, the ICIT supported the arguments presented by Asters on behalf of the clients, and closed the anti-dumping investigation against imports from India, the PRC and Turkey without any measures.

Asters has one of the most dynamic and established practices in international trade in the country. The International Trade team represented defense in 14 out of 15 trade investigations initiated by Ukraine in 2019 -2020. The practice is highlighted by 2020 edition of The Legal 500 International Trade review as "the only firm in Ukraine that focuses on the defence of trade investigations".
