On 21 December 2010, Asters announced the winners of its IV Scholarship Contest for Ukrainian law students. After careful review of 9 finalists, four winners were selected by the Selection Committee consisting of Asters' associates Yevgen Kravtsov, Nikolai Sorochinskiy and Oleksiy Demyanenko and headed by senior associate Leonid Antonenko.>
The finalists had a chance to demonstrate their theoretical and practical knowledge of law, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as their mastery of public speaking and all proved themselves to be bright and capable individuals. The winners were ranked based on scores received from the Selection Committee during the final round of the Contest based on the following criteria: best solution of the legal tests, best use of computer legal software LIGA-ZAKON, and best defense of a complex legal task. However, the first-place winner was not identified because three finalists received almost equal scores. Consequently, three second-place winners – Igor Bondar, Yuriy Radko and Olena Mykhalchuk and, one third-place winner Irina Scherbyna were announced during the award ceremony which brought together all finalists, representatives of LIGA-ZAKON and Yurydychna Gazeta, and the Asters' team responsible for organizing the Contest, including senior partner Armen Khachaturyan.
"Although the contest was competitive and tough, you have produced good results and successfully got through making yourself professionally stronger. I wish you all the best for your future endeavors and invite you for an internship at Asters to gain on-the-job experience in your chosen career field," said Armen Khachaturyan in his greeting speech to the winners.
