Tetiana Piskun has obtained a KECLab certificate in EU energy and climate policy

Asters' Senior Associate at Energy and Natural Resources practice Tetiana Piskun, successfully completed a comprehensive three-week online program on Energy and Climate Leadership Training. The training covered key aspects of legislation, policy, governance, markets, security of supply, and sustainable development in the EU’s energy and climate sectors.

The training brought together experts, practitioners, and academics from Ukraine and across the EU. It is designed to support a new generation of leaders in the energy and climate sectors in Ukraine and Moldova, enabling them to contribute to their countries’ energy transition and EU accession efforts.

The program combined self-paced learning with online sessions dedicated to security of supply, energy market integration, and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).

The final assignment of the program was a role-playing game designed to simulate Ukraine’s real-life EU accession negotiations under Chapter 15, focusing on the implementation of the National Energy and Climate Plan amid war-related risks and investment constraints.

The successful completion of the program was confirmed by a KECLab certificate issued by Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB), the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA), Green Deal Ukraina project and the Kyiv School of Energy Policy (KSEP).
