Asters managing partner Oleksiy Didkovskiy was nominated in the Lawyer of the Year category of the national program Person of the Year 2010. The results of expert voting were tabulated and the laureates of this year's anniversary program were bestowed respective diplomas during a special reception conducted on 15 March 2011. The selections of those to become laureates are made by the High Academic Council of Ukraine on an annual basis.
Mr. Didkovskiy is the only practicing lawyer among the three laureates of the Lawyer of the Year category. This category's nominees included judicial, prosecution and bar authorities, representatives of social organizations and legal science, as well as independent lawyers. The criteria in the latter category in which Mr. Didkovskiy was chosen included significant contributions to the development of the legislative framework of Ukraine, protection of the law and human rights, as well as high professional achievements and excellent business reputation.
From the day of establishment of the firm, Didkovskiy has worked indefatigably on its development. He has proven to be one of the most experienced and qualified lawyers of Ukraine, in particular in such practices and spheres as M&A, project finance, litigation and arbitration, insurance, IT, media, and telecommunications. In addition, Didkovskiy is well-known as a stellar manager and charismatic leader. Annually, the managing partner's professional attainments receive recognition by various international and national legal surveys including PLC Which Lawyer?, Chambers Global and Chambers Europe, The Legal 500, Who's Who Legal, and Best Lawyers International.

The Person of the Year national program is a popular social rating project founded in 1996. Each year distinguished personalities of Ukraine are picked to receive the Person of the Year title in one of a wide range of categories covering the most important spheres of professional and social activity of the country. Category winners are selected in unrestricted voting performed by members of special expert groups representing social and political, financial and economic, mass-media and humanitarian areas. More than 800 experts, delegated by over 200 organizations, institutions, associations, unions, funds, and mass media participated in the 2010 expert voting.
