Asters supports "She is Science" project promoting gender equality in Ukraine

Asters acts as a pro bono legal counsel to "She is Science" project organized by STEM is FEM educational initiative with the support of UN Women in Ukraine and UNICEF in Ukraine.

The project includes an art exhibition dedicated to Ukrainian female scientists and the national essay contest. The project is a part of the UN Women's Generation Equality campaign to promote gender equality among young people and ensure women's leadership in technology and innovation.

Asters team providing legal support to the project consists of Julia Semeniy (Partner, Head of IP practice at Asters) and Yuna Potomkina (Head of ADR practice).

"She is Science project aims at dispelling the widespread stereotype that science in Ukraine has a man's face," - Yuna Potomkina comments.

"This project emphasizes that both women and men contribute to the development of any sphere, such as law or STEM. At Asters we support the initiatives aimed at promoting the gender equality," - Julia Semeniy says.

Any Ukrainian girl aged 14-21 can participate in the national essay contest within the "She is Science" project. The detailed information and essay submission form are available at the project's website.
