Asters shortlisted in two categories for FT Innovative Lawyers Europe 2023 awards

Asters has been shortlisted for Financial Times (FT) Innovative Lawyers Europe 2023 awards in two categories:

• Innovation in Client Delivery. The firm is shortlisted with a new legal practice — the War Time Crisis Team, which creates unique solutions to ensure the smooth operation of clients' businesses during the wartime.
• Innovative Lawyers in Advising Government: a major victory of Ukraine in the UK Supreme Court, which ruled to proceed with a full public trial of legal proceedings brought on behalf of Russia in relation to the USD 3 billion Eurobonds issued by Ukraine in 2013. This landmark ruling allows Ukraine to defend against the claim in the English courts based on duress exercised by the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

The shortlist includes over 120 in-house legal teams and law firms ranked in 28 categories. The winners will be announced in London on 21 September 2023.
