Asters Partner Networks with Fellow Peers at the International M&A Partners Workshop
Asters partner Svitlana Poroschuk took part in the 2nd International M&A Partners Workshop which was held in London on 18-19 June 2009. The event was organized by the international law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP. This year's event continued the tradition of bringing together the top M&A and corporate finance partners from independent European law firms and was aimed at further developing ways in which they can work together to obtain and deliver cross-border M&A work.

During the workshop, the delegates had the opportunity to agree M&A processes and documents to submit commercial proposals on M&A and better understand what clients want from their international and local M&A legal teams. The participants also discussed where the key challenges and client opportunities would be for them during the financial crisis. The delegates worked in teams to develop and present a unique ‘go-to-market’ pitch. The topics of the workshops covered practical concerns such as project management, quality standards and reporting.

Summarizing the event proceedings, Svitlana Poroschuk noted: "Participation in this event was extremely valuable, first of all, for its practical foundation and networking opportunities. The professional way in which the event was organized allowed the delegates to work together closely to improve their skills with respect to developing and presenting M&A proposals, and to share their experience in dealing with some of the most topical issues arising from the M&A and corporate finance sectors today. It also served as a perfect platform to network with fellow peers during the workshop in order to build new connections and rekindle old ones."
