Asters Lawyers Spoke at the Seminar on International Tax Planning and Business Structuring

Asters Partner Vadym Samoilenko and Senior Associate Oles Kvyat participated in practical seminar "International tax planning and business structuring: key tendencies, tools and solutions for the work in a new environment", which was held on 7 June 2013 at the Riviera hotel in Kyiv.

At the seminar, the "Asters" lawyers addressed the audience with the report "Ensure levers for securing control in the structured business, legal aspects of the secure possession of corporate rights", focusing on the issues for the securing legal safety of key business assets, in particular, the speakers defined advantages of jurisdictional multilevel business structure, provided professional recommendations on using trust instruments by holdings, also noting key instruments of internal corporate control and aspects of legalization of property rights being one of the most important business assets. Besides, the discussion was spurred on the issue of securing of legal cleanness of any corporate, financial, title and contractual documents.

The seminar served as a platform for the top managers and legal advisers from the real economy sector companies to closely review the changes of tax planning and assets safety under the conditions of global transformation of the key institutes of international business structuring, and to provide Ukrainian companies and their owners with the most up-to-date and objective information on the issues of application of international corporate instruments under the new conditions of Ukrainian and international business environment.
