Consistently with previous years Asters remains to be highly ranked in the Chambers Global 2013 guide, which was released on 14 March. The firm is highly recommended for Ukraine's Banking and Finance, Corporate/M&A, Dispute Resolution and Restructuring/Insolvency.
In Corporate/M&A the publication recommends managing partner Oleksiy Didkovskiy who is described as "a highly experienced M&A practitioner, praised by sources for his diligence." Quoting clients, the guide describes his client care as "exemplary". The guide also notes his leadership in Dispute Resolution practice.
In Banking and Finance the publication recommends senior partner Armen Khachaturyan who is described as "masterly" and "unanimously recognised as one of the leading advisers in the field". The guide also praises his contribution to Corporate/M&A practice citing his "long-standing experience in M&A transactions" in the banking, oil and gas and agriculture sectors. In addition, this year Mr. Khachaturyan moved up the rankings in Restructuring/Insolvency in recognition of his "impressive track record" and broad practice in this area.
The guide recommends partner Oleksandr Padalka for M&A in particular highlighting his work on a number of planned coal mine acquisitions. It also notes his diverse practice in competition, IP and employment. Partner Iryna Pokanay is also recommended in Banking and Finance for her personal involvement, deal management skills and her leadership in recent key transactions for such clients as EBRD and IFC.
