Asters' counseled project for JSC Ukrainian Railways shortlisted for CEE Legal Matters 2022 Deal of the Year

The project on Consent Solicitations for JSC Ukrainian Railways' USD 895 Million Loan Participation Notes has been shortlisted for the CEE Legal Matters 2022 Deal of the Year for Ukraine. Asters acted as Ukrainian law counsel for JSC Ukrainian Railways and worked closely with a team of English law counsel Dechert LLP (UK). 

The successful implementation of the project helped the Ukrainian railway network operator to free up financial resources to eliminate the consequences of the Russian aggression, maintain stable operations and uninterrupted rail services in the course of the war. 

The CEEL's shortlists are based on the Country Selection Committees’ votes on all the deals nominated across CEE. The winners will be selected by a Final Selection Committee and announced in Istanbul at the annual CEE Deals of the Year Banquet on 25 April 2023.
