Asters Counsel Orest Stasiuk is elected Head of the EBA Business Security and Protection Committee
Asters Counsel Orest Stasiuk has been elected as the Head of the European Business Association (EBA) Business Security and Protection Committee.
In this position, as part of the main goal of making the Committee as helpful as possible to the EBA member, Orest is planning to:
- deepen the work on expert analysis and advocacy of draft laws and initiatives related to various business security issues
- organise regular meetings and events on the Committee's areas of work, engage relevant experts to assist companies in analysing and resolving complex issues
- develop relationships with stakeholders, in particular strengthen and expand contacts with government and law enforcement agencies as well as business representatives to address security issues
Orest Stasiuk has over 15 years of experience in criminal law, internal investigations, anti-corruption compliance and criminal cases with an international element. He advises Ukrainian and international companies on white collar crimes, compliance with anti-corruption and sanctions legislation, support of internal investigations, business security issues and protection against raider attacks. He is an accredited TRACE Anti-Bribery Specialist with an LL.M. degree from the University of Washington School of Law (USA)

The EBA Business Security and Protection Committee was established in 2022 in response to the military actions in Ukraine.
