Asters Law Firm provided legal advice on Ukrainian merger control matters, including obtaining of the merger clearance from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, in connection with the acquisition by Actavis of control over Allergan, Inc. pharmaceutical company for USD 70.5 billion.
Following the acquisition of Allergan and the approval of the name change by shareholders Actavis announced that the company has adopted Allergan as its new global name. The combination of Allergan and Actavis created one of the world's top 10 pharmaceutical companies by revenue.
