Asters' Counsel and Head of Forensics Sviatoslav Ogreba spoke at the webinar ‘AI Risks: Is the Technology Really Safe?’, organised by the LIGA ZAKON Academy on 21 May 2026.

Opening the event, he noted: “The field of AI is evolving rapidly. We are increasingly relying on these technologies as tools to address both personal and business needs. At the same time, it is essential to remain aware of the risks and potential threats associated with their use, particularly in areas such as cybersecurity, data protection, and even broader existential challenges.”

During his presentation, he addressed key issues related to the use of AI, including:

• risks to businesses posed by AI and practical ways to mitigate them
• emerging cybersecurity challenges driven by AI
• the use of AI in fraudulent activities
• personal data protection concerns when using AI solutions
