Oksana Legka and Yaroslav Petrov spoke at the 9th annual Ukrainian Investment Roadshow in London

On 9 December 2025 London held the 9th annual Ukrainian Investment Roadshow. The event was attended by 150 senior executives representing a wide range of Ukrainian and international companies to discuss the recent case studies of investment projects in Ukraine. Asters became one of the co-sponsors of the event along with Strategy Council and Clifford Chance and others.

Asters' Partner Oksana Legka delivered a presentation on mechanisms and legislation required to protect international and domestic investors in disputes and arbitration. Such mechanisms operate at two levels – national legislation and international treaties – ensuring clarity, predictability, and enforceability in investment protection. Recent legislative updates, including those on public-private partnerships and state support for investment projects, align Ukrainian law with EU standards and enhance transparency. Summarising her speech she noted: "Investors can rely on both domestic courts and international arbitration, with Ukraine consistently honouring its international obligations. This commitment reinforces Ukraine’s reputation as a responsible jurisdiction and a reliable partner in global investment and dispute resolution".

Asters' Partner Yaroslav Petrov co-moderated two panel discussions. He mentioned that despite ongoing challenges, Ukraine’s economy continues to show remarkable resilience. The panelists also emphasised that sustained support from the EBRD, IFC, and other international partners remains vital, while private investors largely adopt a cautious “wait and see” position. They also noted a more active M&A market and celebrated corporate milestones such as Kyivstar’s NASDAQ listing and Ferrexpo’s progress in improving investor confidence. Innovative companies, including leading drone manufacturers, showcased how Ukrainian businesses continue to adapt and grow.

The event reaffirmed strong international interest in Ukraine and underscored the importance of coordinated efforts between the public and private sectors to support sustainable investment and long-term economic recovery.

Asters is the largest full-service law firm in Ukraine with offices in Kyiv, Brussels, London, and Washington, D.C. The firm has access to over 125 jurisdictions through a well-developed network of partner law firms.
