Armen Khachaturyan moderated the panel discussion at the Ukrainian Banking Summit 2025

On 21 May 2025, Kyiv hosted the Ukrainian Banking Summit 2025, organised by the Ukrainian Association of Fintech and Innovation Companies. The event brought together more than 300 guests and speakers from the banking sector, fintech, government institutions and international organisations to discuss topical issues in the banking sector, in particular its transformation, adaptation to global challenges and role in the country's reconstruction.

Asters' Senior Partner Armen Khachaturyan moderated the panel discussion on the corporate governance in the financial sector. He noted: 'Ukraine's business in general and its financial sector in particular have been absorbing high international standards of corporate governance over the recent years and this process is still pending. But as the finish line might be reached in 6-12 months, the implemented system may turn out to be outdated given the pace of changes around the world. It makes sense if we start thinking about the future right now, a few steps ahead, while adjusting the ongoing reforms to the current and future challenges.'

Panel's speakers, CEOs and Supervisory Boards' Heads of the banks, state funds and financial institutions, provided thoughtful comments on the practical and legal challenges and relevant solutions for corporate governance models.
