Vadym Samoilenko and Oleksandr Padalka Received State Awards

On 2 September 2011 the Ukrainian House in Kyiv hosted the National Forum and Honorable Reception on the Entrepreneur's Day under the auspices of the Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

At the ceremony Asters partner Mr. Vadym Samoilenko was awarded with the Certificate of Honor of the State Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine "for particular personal achievements on formation and securing the unified state policy on developing and functioning the securities market in Ukraine". The award was presented by Mrs. Oksana Sakhnatska, the Chief of Staff of the SEC.

The state award became a recognition of Mr. Samoilenko's years-long active work on improving legislation and advising the SEC, in particular on the Laws of Ukraine "On Joint Stock Companies", "On Business Associations", "On Securities and Stock Market", the SEC regulations and clarifications.

Mr. Samoilenko is well-known as a leading practitioner in corporate law, securities, M&A. He is a Board Member of the Ukrainian Bar Association, member of the Corporate Governance Council for the SEC, member of the Kyiv Regional Bar Association. His professional qualifications and achievements are repeatedly distinguished by reputable international ratings such as Legal500, Chambers Europe, PLC Which Lawyer.

Asters partner Mr. Oleksandr Padalka received the Certificate of Honor of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine "for high professional achievements and valuable contribution to development of the competition practice". Mr. Padalka specializes in competition law and IP. He is a member of the Ukrainian Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the Kyiv Regional Bar Association.

The event gathered over 300 participants, mainly high-ranking state officials, MPs, diplomats, national and international business leaders, representatives of ICC offices from 25 regions of Ukraine.
