The U.S.-Ukraine Business Council and Asters Hold a Mid-Summer Party Featuring an Art Project
On 30 July 2009, the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) and Asters held a mid-summer event for members and guests of the USUBC dedicated to strengthening relations between America and Ukraine and supporting Ukrainian art. The event took place at Asters’ new offices with a splendid panoramic view of Kyiv and the exquisite art and photographic works of the recently launched project Art Asters.

The Ukrainian-American gathering was attended by top managers of international and Ukrainian companies, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and foreign diplomatic missions in Ukraine, as well as directors of the representative offices of international foundations and NGOs.

Guests of the event were able to socialize with business partners, friends and colleagues, and establish new business and personal contacts, enjoy the city skyline and spend a wonderful summer evening in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Furthermore, all attendees had the terrific opportunity to acquaint themselves with the Money Fest art project and other selected works of Ukrainian artist Volodymyr Tovkaylo on exhibit at the offices of Asters.

In welcoming the guests, Morgan Williams, President of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council, emphasized that the organizers of the event are pursuing an important mission — providing colleagues and partners who are interested in cooperation on an international level with the opportunity to communicate, which helps to bring about joint projects and to reinforce the dialog and friendly relations between the USA and Ukraine. The pleasant mood was also enhanced by the event’s milieu with the breathtaking view of Kyiv, the enchanting music of talented Ukrainian violinist Solomia Gorokhivska, as well as the works of art presented to the guests.

Armen Khachaturyan, Asters Senior Partner, also greeted the guests, noting that for Asters, which believes in and follows the Western approach to client service and management standards, and for him personally, as a person who has studied and worked in the United States of America for a long time, it is extremely pleasant to actively cooperate with members of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council and to have the opportunity to make his own contribution toward to further develop the amicable relations between the two countries. He also said that the event’s positive atmosphere will be bolstered by the powerful energy of the works of Volodymyr Tovkaylo, which convey an original take on modern times. Armen Khachaturyan expressed the hope that there will be further informal meetings among members of the US-Ukraine Business Council that will become a fine tradition.
