>

Following more than 12 years of excellence in serving its clients a renowned Ukrainian law firm Shevchenko Didkovskiy & Partners announced on 21 February 2008 that it changed its name to Asters.

The announcement was made at a gala party in Hyatt Regency Kyiv witnessed by almost 200 guests. At the most exciting moment of the night seasoned by beautiful music and sliding images of masterpieces of world art the huge plasma screen was unveiled to demonstrate the new name of the firm – Asters. The new logo has a unique style and trendy color. The idea to change the reputable brand may look like a bold step, - says Asters' managing partner Oleksiy Didkovskiy, - but it is very natural, because it reflects the new status of the firm as a result of its matured expertise, large number of employees, high quality of projects and clients’ consistent recognition. Asters is derived from Greek and Latin notion of “stars”. That is what we believe are our best lawyers and that is what are our clients, - adds Asters' senior partner Armen Khachaturyan. Our partnership has been recently rejuvenated and with current seven partners and almost 60 lawyers the firm has great prospects for further growth and strengthening its leading market positions. The new name of the firm is clearly in line with today’s international trends and precisely discloses its destiny – Per aspera ad astra (Through thorns to the stars).
