Asters' Partners Are Recognised by Expert Guides 2009
Asters announces that several of its partners received recognition in the Legal Media Group Guides to the World's Leading Lawyers (Expert Guides) 2009, a series of handbooks listing the world’s leading lawyers and legal advisers in 26 areas of legal practice in more than 60 jurisdictions worldwide.

Managing Partner Oleksiy Didkovskiy was recommended to peers and clients in two practice areas: Corporate Governance and Telecommunications. Mr. Didkovskiy's most noticeable recent projects include advising Telenor ASA on corporate governance and employment law issues; a British agricultural company ED & F Man on the acquisition of CJSC "Simeks", a sugar factory in Ukraine; EDB, major IT group in the Nordic countries, on the acquisition of Ukrainian IT companies "Infopulse Ukraine" and "Miratech Corporation".

Senior Partner Armen Khachaturyan was acknowledged in Banking, Capital Markets, as well as Mergers and Acquisitions. His recent and noteworthy representations include leading the team in the project financing by the international banks Barclays Capital and Citigroup to the Dnipropetrovsk steel mill in Ukraine sponsored by Interpipe; in IPOs and private placements of Ukrainian companies in international capital markets; acting for Swedbank AB in the acquisition of the Ukrainian banks TAS-Kommerzbank and TAS-Investbank and further establishing of the first Ukrainian banking holding group Swedbank Finance.

Partner Igor Svechkar was commended to the world's leading Competition and Antitrust Lawyers. Some of his major work highlights include handling merger clearances with the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for Allianz and Dresdner Bank AG in the sale by Allianz AG of 100% of shares of Dresdner Bank AG to Commerzbank AG; Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. in the acquisition of a controlling block of shares of Barr Pharmaceuticals, Inc., advising Coca-Cola and Philip Morris on competition compliance and counseling to Beiersdorf AG and Nissan Motor with respect to unfair competition in Ukraine.
