Top-level experts to discuss the hottest Ukrainian business law issues in the new season of EBA-Asters Legal School

On 10 October 2017 the first module of the ninth season of EBA-Asters Legal School took place in Asters office in Kyiv.

Lectures in the new season of the Legal School will be delivered by the leading Ukrainian experts, in particular: Olga Lukianova (Head of Legal Department & Compliance Officer at Henkel Ukraine, recognized the Best Compliance Officer in Ukraine at the Best Legal Departments 2016 Award ceremony), Olena Derevyanko (Managing Partner at PR Service agency, Vice President of the Ukrainian PR League), Igor Olender (Judge of the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine), Julia Semeniy (Partner at Asters, one of the most successful female lawyers in the country by Ukrainian Women in Law 2017 research) and Oleksandr Vozniuk (one of the most experienced experts in Competition law in Ukraine).

The new season introduces the expansion of the Legal School program by lectures on the hottest Ukrainian business law issues, such us debt restructuring (the lecture will be delivered by Asters Counsel Gabriel Aslanian who recently worked on the first ever financial restructuring involving a state bank in Ukraine in accordance with the new law); as well as international arbitration and litigation for Ukrainian companies (the lecture by Asters Counsels Yaroslav Petrov and Dmytro Shemelin).

Olga Lukianova, Head of Legal Department & Compliance Officer at Henkel Ukraine and one of the Legal School speakers, points out: "It is my pleasure to lecture at EBA-Asters Legal School again. EBA-Asters Legal School is a unique free of charge platform for Ukrainian legal practitioners to share their experience and best practices in legal support and protection of business. EBA-Asters Legal School was launched by Asters and EBA in 2013. The legal course will last 2 months and will include 6 modules delivered twice a month providing students with an opportunity to learn the peculiarities of the unfair competition protection and international arbitration and litigation; gain professional skills and qualifications in debt restructuring and tax disputes; discover aspects of intellectual property rights protection and compliance; and find out about the tools for efficient dialogue between the business and the state.
