Asters presented the art project "Art Asters" to the legal community

On July 21 2009, Asters presented to the legal community the art project "Art Asters" dedicated to supporting, showcasing and popularizing Ukrainian art. Presentation of the project took place at the firm's office with the assistance of art producer Andrey Levchenko. The first exposition of "Art Asters" was the art project "Money-Fest" and other selected works of the Ukrainian artist Volodymyr Tovkaylo. All of these works are being displayed at Asters and may be viewed by clients and guests of the firm. They also may be acquired at special prices.

Critics have called Volodymyr Tovkaylo "perhaps, the last sincere painter in our skeptical time". Originally from Svetlovodsk in the Kirovohrad Oblast, his talent is his ability to "tell about very complicated things in plain language". The artist's works were repeatedly shown and had success at the international art show "Art-Kiev", as well as others, including solo exhibitions in Ukraine. Works of Volodymyr belong to the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and are part of private collections in Ukraine, Russia, the USA, Canada, Germany, France, Spain and Austria.

In attendance at the presentation were the lawyers and top managers of Ukrainian and international law firms, artists, art critics and mass media. The guests' pleasure from viewing the high quality artwork was enhanced by the vivacious sounds of incredible jazz music together with the exquisite taste of the French cognac Frapin and the Chilean wine Castella de Molina, which were provided courtesy of Vinfort. The guests thoroughly enjoyed the improvised tour of the exhibition and were quite happy with the informal atmosphere.

Greeting the guests at the event, Armen Khachaturyan, Asters Senior Partner, noted: "Usually, lawyers from different firms have little opportunity and time for informal meetings and discourse. We at Asters would like to use the occasion of our newly initiated art project "Art Asters" as a pretext for just such discourse. "Art Asters" is a bright and inspiring project dedicated to popularizing genuine and valuable Ukrainian art. The inaugural exposition "Art Asters" consists of the works of the artist Volodymyr Tovkaylo, transforming our office into a chamber art gallery, exhibiting his latest works from the project "Money Fest", which reflect an unexpected and special view toward money and their place in human life, as well as other works from his earlier periods with inimitable perception of nature and human life. This exposition will surely be a successful start for "Art Asters". New names are going to be discovered, and many pleasant impressions await us thanks to this initiative".

The organizers intend for "Art Asters" to be a long-term project that will attract many more artists.
